Another sad news… can you spell with me “unique talent”?

One of my favorite sick series remains the Olga films, incredibly sadistic little productions that were thankfully clumsily made. Olga was mainly played by the astonishingly beautiful Audrey Campbell, a perfect future Siren if there ever was one. One big influence in all these productions was Irving Klaw’s photo work, shot sometimes with the collaboration of the inestimable Bettie Page. Here though, the violent side is much more explored, as some punishments often turned bloody. Still, it’s clear that a remake of any of these entries is unlikely in this day and age, which makes these titles (White Slaves of Chinatown, Olga’s Girls, Olga’s House of Shame and Olga’s Dance Hall Girls) a very unique viewing.
Besides the imposing Campbell, the acting is mainly atrocious but the low-budget still succeed in giving us the appropriate seedy feeling appropriate for its subject. Let’s mention that Olga is a drug trafficker/slave trader that deals from her underground New York Chinatown headquarter. Being a sadistic lesbian, she of course passes most of her time punishing various unfortunates prostitutes under her steely command. As directed by Joseph P. Mawra, there’s a lot to please any fetish enthusiast: beautiful girls tied up and gagged, wearing high heels and pantyhose, females kissing, etc. All this in icy black and white! Of course, this is not Hostel, but for the time it was grim stuff… and all box-office hits in grindhouse theaters. In the seventies, the more or less likewise Ilsa series would also not be easily forgotten.
Here’s a typical lurid poster that promised all that kind of secret thrills…!

One of the most intriguing Marvel female heroines has passed away recently, part of a really mixed bag of a crossover entitled Secret Invasion. The plot device pointing to her death was a surprise, but its visual execution in just a few confusing panels lacked respect for such a venerable character.
As typical “female” in super-hero books of the early sixties, Janet was a bit of an empty head at first, more often concerned about her hair and makeup than any deadly threat. But as the years went by, it was disclosed that she was in fact acting up to get the attention of her paramour, namely confused Dr. Hank Pym. The Wasp became one of the most effective Avengers leader in the team’s colorful history, going through many crisis with a very humanistic leadership style.
Of course, this is comic books and she’ll probably be resurrected in some form in a couple of years. Still, let’s salute the fact that she will remain a character whose evolution through the years remain an intriguing read (which could be a bit difficult in track the chronology down).

After two snowstorms last week around these parts, I will satisfy myself today in just sharing a photograph that warms my heart a little bit (actually quite a bit). Here is in all her glory the magnificent Rosanna Schiaffino, who turned 70 just a couple of weeks ago. With measurements of 36-22-35, she has been in close to fifty motion pictures, mainly in decorative roles in action movies and some horror projects. So she’s now considered a future guest of Cult Sirens. Enjoy the view!

Sad news, indeed. Go to the main site for my farewell words…

One classy and talented lady has passed away, seen here with a typical co-star. Her gutsy roles paved the way for many take-charge film heroines to come in her footsteps. Another artist that will not be easily forgotten.

I just had to put a Sonia Braga picture somewhere… at 58, she’s looks absolutely amazing. Look at all that hair! There will be a more in-depth portrait, in a near future.

Folks, you should check out what Old Nick Magazine has to propose: a website dedicated to their publication and a blog that gets to talk about similar subjects that concern us at Cult Sirens, mainly beautiful actresses! Their specialty is gothic/fetish personalities, so you can’t go wrong. It’s easy to spot the divine Masuimi Max or Kumi Monster, for instance. You can also become a member to view more, let’s say, intense images of these models.
Once again, be warned: photos of extremely happy nekkid girls abound!

I really, really, really love featuring Bollywood actresses. These girls are absolutely gorgeous and we need to get to know all the talent that’s out there, just waiting to reach out to our shores. We’ll talk about Bipasha Basu today, considered by Eastern Eye magazine to be the Sexiest Woman in Asia.
She was born on January 7, 1979, in New Delhi, India, the second of three daughters. She was actually considered an ugly duckling as a youth! During her studies, she quickly find out that she didn’t possess the stomach to become a doctor. But fate was actually kind as at the age of 17 she became the Ford Supermodel of the World, no less, after participating in a contest. Then it was off to New York, Paris, etc.
Logically, Bipasha made her film debut in 2001 for Ajnabee, for which she won a Best Female Debut acting award. To this day, she has appeared in close to 40 movie projects and a couple of music videos and is already a respected performer. She’s currently dating fellow actor John Abraham.
Look at the following picture and try to tell that I’m to blame for featuring Bollywood beauties:
