Mylène Jampanoï

Half French, half Chinese, the gorgeous Mylène Jampanoï recently had one of the toughest female role ever in a thriller for Martyrs, a movie so gruesome that even hardened horror fans had lots of trouble dealing with it. Alongside Morjana Alaoui, the two will forever be remembered as a… well, very unique duo in the annals of extreme filmdom.

Mylène was born on July 12, 1980, in Aix-en-Provence, France. After some television roles, she made her big screen debut in 2004 for two high-profile features, 36 Quai des Orfèvres and Les rivières pourpres II – Les anges de l’apocalypse. Les filles du botaniste in 2006 was another well-acclaimed project, filmed in the Himalayas. But the recent Martyrs (a Canadian-French co-production) will probably give her cult status in many circles. She’s presently filming for a biography of musical French legend Serge Gainsbourg.
